Tim graduated from William Chrisman High School in 1981. He soon moved to El Dorado Springs where he installed windshields for Safe-Lite Auto Glass.
Other later employment included being manager of O’Reilly’s in El Dorado Springs and head of maintenance at Tamko Industries.
Tim was avid at anything he took on. He enjoyed racing, hunting and fishing. He loved his family. He made many friends, but his best friends were his brothers.
Survivors include his parents, Dick and Beverly Mogan; two brothers, Mike Mogan and Kenny Mogan; one sister, Liesa Messick and husband Kenny, all of El Dorado Springs; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Tim will be missed by all.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 2, 2017, from 6:00--7:00 p.m. at Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 3, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Brent Bland officiating.

Norene was born June 2, 1939 in Henderson, Missouri. She was the daughter of George Fred Schmidt and Olive Martin Schmidt.
On December 8, 1967, Norene married the love of her life, Jon Lee Burkitt. Norene was the loving mother of five children, Deborah, Sherry, Steven, Johnna and Michele.
For many years she selflessly supported her family as manager of housekeeping at Double Tree Hotel. Norene was also a member of Cleveland Baptist Church, the Cleveland Lion’s Club, and “Friends of Cleveland”.
Norene was preceded in death by her husband, John Lee Burkitt; son, Steven Dwayne Johnson, parents, George and Olive Schmidt; infant grandson, Christopher Lee MacLeod; eight siblings, Archie Schmidt, Ted Schmidt, Geneva Kingrey, Deloris Nagel, Margaret Thomas, George Schmidt, Elizabeth Schmidt, and Herbert Schmidt.
She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Lynne Wieseman (David) of St. Louis, Missouri, Sherry Ann Dories (Robert) of Raymore, Missouri, Johnna Lea Johnston (Rob) of Cleveland, Missouri, and Michele Lorene Daugherty (Chris) of Cleveland, Missouri; sister, Eunice Buchannan of Raymore, Missouri; 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Two Former Vernon County Ambulance District Employees Indicted for $260,000 Embezzlement
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Tom Larson, Acting United States Attorney for the Western District of Missouri, announced today, Wednesday, May 31, 2017, that the former director and the former bookkeeper of the Vernon County Ambulance District have been indicted by a federal grand jury for embezzling more than $260,000 from the district.
Tina L. Werner, 51, and James D. McKenzie, 51, both formerly of Nevada, Mo., were charged in a nine-count indictment returned by a federal grand jury in Springfield, Mo., on May 11, 2017.
McKenzie and Werner were employed with the ambulance district until October 2015, McKenzie as the director and Werner as a bookkeeper. McKenzie’s duties as director included managing the daily operations of the district, including the personnel and financial management of the district. McKenzie began his employment with the ambulance district in 1987. Werner’s duties as bookkeeper included managing payroll, conducting financial transactions and managing the accounts receivable. Werner began her employment in 2000.
The federal indictment alleges that Werner, utilizing her position as bookkeeper, began electronically transferring money from the ambulance district’s bank accounts into personal bank accounts held by herself and McKenzie in January 2013. Additionally, Werner allegedly initiated electronic bill payments from ambulance district bank accounts to pay the personal credit cards held by herself and McKenzie. Werner and McKenzie did not have authorization to conduct such payments and their actions caused the ambulance district to suffer financial loss.
Additionally, the indictment says, from January 2013 until October 2015, Werner and McKenzie issued payments from an ambulance district credit card account for the purpose of paying McKenzie’s personal utility bills and those of a McKenzie family member, resulting in the ambulance district suffering additional financial loss. Werner and McKenzie did not have authorization to conduct such payments.
Werner also allegedly falsified electronic payroll records and recorded additional overtime hours worked for herself and McKenzie. As a result, the ambulance district issued electronic payments to Werner and McKenzie for overtime hours that were not actually worked, resulting in the district falsely overpaying Werner and McKenzie, thereby suffering additional financial loss.
McKenzie and Werner allegedly embezzled a total of $260,265 from the ambulance district from January 2013 to October 2015.
According to the indictment, Werner attempted to conceal the embezzlement by entering a false deposit of $130,000 in the QuickBooks application, and by obtaining a $20,000 line of credit from OnDeck without the knowledge or authorization of the ambulance district’s board of directors. McKenzie and Werner allegedly destroyed financial and business documents belonging to the ambulance district while they were in the district’s office on Oct. 23, 2015, in an effort to conceal their embezzlement.
In addition to the conspiracy, McKenzie and Werner are charged together in three counts of wire fraud related to thefts from the district’s Christmas account (into which employees deposited money throughout the year, then withdrew during the Christmas shopping season) to pay McKenzie’s and Werner’s credit cards.
McKenzie and Werner are also charged together in two counts of wire fraud related to thefts from the district’s toy drive bank account, which was transferred to the bank account of McReed Construction, a business owned by McKenzie.
McKenzie and Werner are also charged together in one count of wire fraud related to theft from an ambulance district credit card to pay the personal utility bills of McKenzie and a family member.
McKenzie and Werner are also charged together in one count of wire fraud related to McKenzie receiving compensation to which he was not entitled due to being paid for overtime that he did not actually work. Werner is also charged with one count of wire fraud related to her receiving compensation to which she was not entitled due to being paid for overtime that she did not actually work.
Larson cautioned that the charges contained in this indictment are simply accusations, and not evidence of guilt.
This case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Patrick Carney and Casey Clark. It was investigated by the FBI and the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

On May 25, 2017, officers responded to 311 East US 54 Highway concerning a stolen vehicle. Officers located and recovered a 2017 Chevrolet Camaro stolen from Independence MO.
The investigation resulted in the arrests of Skyler J. Lizar, 33, of Kansas City, MO, charging her with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Dominic M. Bonavia II ,32, of Gladstone, Mo, for a Buchanan
County Warrant, charging him with Failure to Appear for Two Counts of Forgery, with a bond of $50,000.00 cash only, a Independence Municipal Warrant, charging him with Receiving Stolen Property, ID Theft, and Forgery, with a bond of $5,000.00, and two Cass County Warrants, charging him with Fraud, Impersonation, and Fraud Attempt to Obtain, each with a bond $10,000.00 .
Lizar was released on summonses pending a court appearance. Bonavia was transported to Vernon County Sheriff's Office pending extradition.
Officers seized evidence related to identify thefts, forged identification cards, forgery instruments, drug paraphernalia and approximately 7.2 grams of methamphetamine.
The investigation continues and additional charges are pending.

Her childhood was spent on her parent’s (Henry and Nelly Enos Ciggel) family farm east of Adrian, MO with her sister, Birdena and brother Albert. Riding her pony to the one-room Coleville Schoolhouse nurtured a free-spirited woman – born too soon for what could have been a “glass ceiling” destiny.
After graduating top in her class from Adrian High School in the heart of The Depression, Irma moved to Sedalia, MO to attend Central Business College. A jewelry box full of medals offers testimony to her prowess with the now antique Underwood typewriter. Following graduation, Irma worked for the Milton Oil Company in Sedalia.
In 1935, Irma married Aubrey Brooks Case (deceased March, 2008) in Sedalia and became a fulltime mother raising 3 children – Judith Ann Murphy (deceased 1989); Mary Jo Browne (Los Angeles); Charles Ciggel (Gloria) Case (Overland Park, KS). The children grown, Irma returned to the family business – Sedalia Royal-Crown/Nehi Bottling Company and served as office manager until the business was sold in 1973.
Throughout her life, Irma was active in the First Baptist Church Sedalia, working with youth; singing in the choir; chairing women’s missionary groups. The home was always open for social events and hosting Rotary International scholarship students. Irma was president of the Helen G. Steele Music Club; the perennial room-mother and an excellent seamstress.
After selling the family business, Irma and Aubrey were active in Rotary International events and traveled around the world several times before moving to Foxwood Springs Retirement Village/Raymore where they remained active until their mid-nineties. Irma was impatient with the final phase of her life. She wanted to serve – not be served.
Irma, a fun Grandma, mashed potato culinarian, ping-pong shark, leaves 4 granddaughters: Michele Murphy (Emporia, KS); Christen Carr (Placentia, CA); Rebie (Richard) Foote (Evanston, IL); Brooke (Charles) Dillman (Los Angeles). 3 grandsons: John Murphy (Overland Park, KS); David Murphy (Dallas, TX); Kristopher (Gena) Case (Olathe, KS). 4 great-grandchildren: Kyle Stone (Seattle) and Koree Case (Overland Park, KS); Christian and Hannah Judy Foote (Evanston, IL).

Update: Butler man killed in construction accident in Saline County, Missouri
A 46-year-old Butler, Missouri man who has been identified as Scot Lesmeister, was fatally injured in a construction accident on Tuesday, May 30 at 27559 N Highway, Malta Bend. Saline County Sheriff’s Department responded just after 12:00 noon.
Marshall Fire Crews arrived to the scene of a man who had fallen a distance of about 20 feet at the construction site near the water plant. Mr. Lesmeister was pronounced dead at the scene.
As this investigation includes multiple agencies, at this time, no further information is available pending further investigation and autopsy results.

Virginia Maxine Harold Holt, 93, of Mound City died on Monday, May 29, 2017. Maxine was born June 6, 1923, in Fontana, Kansas to Loring (Lode) and Sylvia Harold. Maxine graduated from La Cygne High School.
She was united in marriage to Herschel Holt on September 10, 1941. Maxine and Herschel lived on the Holt family farm where they raised their three children.
Maxine ran the Holt Café in Mound City for four years during the 1950''s. After selling the restaurant in 1961 she went to work for the ASCS Office in Mound City in 1962 and retired from there in 1988. However, aside from her careers, Maxine was mostly a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Maxine was a wonderful homemaker and a good cooker according to one of the great-grandkids.
Mrs. Holt will lie in state Thursday afternoon until 6:00 pm at the Schneider Funeral Home, Mound City Chapel. Visitation is at 10:00 am on Friday, June 2, 2017 at the Mound City Christian Church. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 am.
During her retirement, Maxine spent her time traveling, doing volunteer work for Meals on Wheels, the American Legion Auxiliary, and the American Cancer Society. She was a long-time member of the Mound City Christian Church and also attended Wall Street Christian Church. Maxine was preceded in death by her husband Herschel; her parents; sister, Joan; her three brothers Bryan, Loring, and Leslie; and her favorite son-in-law Ottis Allen and twin granddaughters, Tara and Kara. Survivors include one daughter, Minnie Lou Holt Allen; two sons and their wives, Larry Eldon and Linda Kay Holt, and Billy Bruce and Meg Holt; five grandchildren, Kirk, Kris, Kreg, Adam, and Mandy; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Holt will lie in state Thursday afternoon until 6:00 pm at the Schneider Funeral Home, Mound City Chapel. Visitation is at 10:00 am on Friday, June 2, 2017 at the Mound City Christian Church. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 am.

Clinton man charged with pointing gun at law enforcement officer

Danny Lee Jones, 35, Clinton, who was shot by a Clinton Police Officer on the night of Friday, May 26, has been released from Research Hospital.
Captain Sonny Lynch said on Tuesday afternoon that Danny Lee Jones is now incarcerated in the Henry County Detention Center with a bond of $75,000.
He has been formally charged with 1st Degree Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer and Armed Criminal Action after a warrant was issued by Henry County Prosecuting Attorney Richard Shields through the Henry County Associate Circuit Court.
Mr. Jones was on a second floor balcony at an apartment building in the 200 block of West Green Street when he pointed a 9mm handgun, which later turned out to be unloaded, at the Officer.
The Officer fired three times, striking Jones in the leg. Jones had apparently attempted to enter the apartment of a resident there who did not know him, added Captain Lynch.
The investigation continues into this incident by the Division of Drug and Crime Control of the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The Clinton Officer who fired the shots remains on paid administrative leave.

ATTENTION: Our water aerobics class will begin June 5th. Single admission is $1 a person or you can buy a pass that will last you all year for $20!
Water aerobics this year will be conducted by Damien Richardson. Damien is an excellent instructor and is super excited to see you all. Water aerobics will start promptly at 10:00 and will last until 11:00.
Water aerobics is Monday through Friday at the same time every day. Please note that this is NOT a free swim period. We hope to see you on June 5th!
