Sometime in the early 1900's in Robstown, TX, the game of Hold'em (later dubbed
Texas Hold'em in Vegas) was born. For the last 100+ years, players from all over the world have won millions of dollars in games played
everywhere, every week. Now, Texas Hold'em comes to the Adrian Optimist building on November 6th and local folks will have a chance to have fun while raising money for the Adrian Community Library. Registration begins at 5 p.m. and for a $40 donation players will also receive a sandwich, drink and chips; there will be prizes for the top six finishers. For more info about the tournament, call 816-297-2085.
