Around 6:40 this morning, Mary Burkhart of Butler received minor injuries in a Cass County accident on Northbound 71 highway just South of 327th street. Apparently a deer wandered into the northbound lanes of 71 and was struck by the Burkhart vehicle. After impact, the deer struck another vehicle driven by Jeremy Miller of Archie.
Miller was not injured, while Burkhart refused treatment at the scene. Both vehicles were driven away after the accident.
