On Oct. 15, Kasey Groves, 23, Lowry City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant issued for multiple cases. One case was failing to appear on two class C felony charges of burglary in second degree. The warrant was issued on Oct. 5 and stems from an incident on June 21 on NW 751 Road at property owned by Ronald Harleman. Harleman reported several items stolen from a house and a barn. Items included chainsaws, weed eaters, a Snap-On tool box with tools, a Troy Built rear tine tiller, a Chicago pneumatic air wrench, bench grinder, new lawn mower parts, scrap copper, air compressors, several one cylinder gas motors and other miscellaneous items from the property.
Groves’ additional cases include not appearing in court on Oct. 2 for a hearing on another class C felony of burglary in second degree stemming from an incident on June 22 on NW 701 Road at property owned by Lane McDonald. Several chainsaws and other items were taken from the property. Groves also did not appear for a hearing on a misdemeanor charge of possessing marijuana stemming from an incident on April 18. A total bond for all charges was set at $10,000 cash only. As of Tuesday, Oct. 22, Groves was still in the St. Clair County Jail.
