District Girls Track Results‏

Yesterday the Butler Bears traveled to Holden for the District track meet. The weather turned out beautiful and that allowed the athletes to perform at their best.

The girls team placed 3^rd out of 16 teams.

Everyone went out and gave it their all to try to qualify for the sectional track meet next Saturday. To qualify the athlete must place in the top four in their event.

Here are your sectional qualifiers for the 2013 season:

Long Jump: Kayla Morris- 3^rd place

100 M Hurdles: Kiersten Morris-2^nd place

100 M Dash: Kayla Morris- 2^nd place

                   Abby Loveall- 3^rd place

300 M Hurdles: Kiersten Morris- 1^st place District Champion with a time of 50.1

200 M Dash: Kayla Morris- 1^st place District Champion with a time of 27.29

4x400 relay: Makenna Hannah, Chelsea Spencer, Amy Miller, Abby Loveall- 3^rd place

Here are the athletes who placed in the top 8 earning their team much needed and valuable points:

High Jump: Aarika Gardner- 7^th place

                       Amy Miller- 8^th place

Triple Jump: Amy Miller 7^th place

Shot Put: Gabby Blevins- 8^th place

4x800 M Relay: Jenay Rosier, Tabitha Foote, Hali Heckadon, Katie Henry- 8^th place

100 M Hurdles: Ashleigh Floyd- 7^th place

4x200 M Relay: Makenna Hannah, Chelsea Spencer, Amy Miller, Abby Loveall- 6^th place

4x100 M Relay: Ashleigh Floyd, Aarika Gardner, Chelsea Spencer, Makenna Hannah- 7^th place

400 M Dash: Abby Loveall- 5^th place

300 M Hurdles: Ashleigh Floyd- 8^th place

800 M Run: Katie Henry- 8^th place

3200 M Run: Tabitha Foote- 8^th place
