Funeral services for Elma Taylor will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel (660-679-6555) in Butler, Missouri. Visitation will be prior to services from 1-2 p.m. at Schowengerdt Chapel. Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, Butler. Contributions to Amoret Christian Church.
Elma Louise Taylor, age 90 of Amoret, Missouri died Friday, July 5, 2013 at St. Joseph Health Center in Kansas City, Missouri. She was born September 2, 1922 to Jonas Marvin and Belle Rose Wells Braxton in Sylvania, Georgia.
Elma is survived by her husband Sherwin Clark Taylor of Butler, Missouri; two sons, Marvin Taylor and wife Karen of Etowah, Tennessee and Russell Taylor of Archie, Missouri; two daughters, Charlotte Taylor of Waycross, Georgia and Joyce Hicks and husband Steve of Watauga, Texas; one brother, Tony Braxton and wife Carolyn of Ft. Worth, Texas; and 8 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Jim Braxton; and two sisters, Thelma and Alice.
