HENRY COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE NEWS RELEASE: STOLEN VEHICLES

Three Vehicles Stolen Overnight in the Rural Montrose / Deepwater Areas

On Sunday, August 11, at around 7:30 a.m., Deputy Robert Vick responded to a residence in the 1000 block of SW 981 in the Montrose area regarding the theft of two vehicles from that location. Vehicles taken were a 2013 Ford F-350 pickup, dark gray in color, bearing Missouri temporary registration. The second vehicle was a 2006 Ford F-350, extended-cab pickup, two-toned in color (maroon on top, tan underneath), bearing Missouri registration plates.

Then at around 9:30 a.m., Deputy Vick responded to a residence near the 100 block of SW Hwy 52 in the Deepwater area regarding a burglary complaint. The investigation at the scene revealed that forced entry was made into a locked outbuilding and numerous hand tools were stolen from within. Also taken from that address, was a 1994 Ford F-150 pickup, blue-green in color, bearing Missouri registration plates. Sgt. Michael Nelson responded to the scene to assist Deputy Vick with the collection of evidence.

A credit card that was within one of the pickups stolen from the Montrose area was used in the Butler, Rich Hill and Nevada areas. “Deputies are following up on those leads this morning. We believe that these incidents are connected, due to the same styles of vehicles being taken and the proximity of both locations to 52 Highway”, Sheriff Oberkrom stated.

Anyone with information concerning either of these property crimes is being urged to contact Sgt. Nelson with the Henry County Sheriff’s Office at (660) 885-7303 or the TIPS hotline at 1-800-825-8477 or by visiting www.hcsomo.com, then selecting TIPS section.
