Henry County Sheriff's Office Press Release: Newly licensed police officers

TheHenryCountySheriffsOfficeisproudtoannouncetheadvancementofseveralemployeestolicensedpoliceofficers. ThesemenandwomenbegantheirjourneyinJanuary,2013andgraduatedWednesdayeveningDecember4,2013. ThegraduationceremonywasheldatthePerformingArtsCenteratClintonHighSchoolandwasattendedbynearly100friendsandfamily. Sgt.PaulAbbott,oftheClintonPoliceDepartmentandAcademyInstructor,wasthekeynotespeakeratthegraduationceremony.


TheMissouriSheriffsAssociationClass#188wasmadeupoftenmenandwomen,notonlyfromHenryCounty,butalsoBates,LafayetteandVernoncounties. Theelevenmonthjourneyoftheirtrainingcoveredthecompletespectrumoflawenforcement 
activities.


HenryCountygraduatesincludedNikkiFenner,classpresident,CherylBrown,ThomasCantrell,JasonLarkinsandDerekForeman. Fenner,Brown,CantrellandLarkinsareallcurrentemployeeswiththeHenryCountySheriffsOfficeworkingwithintheDetentionCenter. ForemanisservingasareservedeputywithHenryCounty.


OthergraduatesincludedJalynRosier,VernonCounty,PatrickYost,LafayetteCounty,BrianBearce,BradPageand JaredDenhamallfromBatesCounty.


This was the first academy held in Henry County and all of the instructors are very proud of the dedication and commitment these men and women showed over the past eleven months to become licensed peace officers in the State of Missouri”, Sheriff Oberkrom said.
