The theft of numerous chainsaws and chainsaw blades from a Nevada business was reported to the Nevada Police Department Monday. Captain Casey Crain says the theft apparently happened sometime between 4:00 and 11:39 p.m. Sunday, July 27, at the business in the 1100 block of E. Austin Boulevard. Also stolen was a white 2005-model Chevy truck that was found by Vernon County sheriff's deputies outside the city of Nevada. It had been burned. Anyone with information about the thefts is asked to call the Nevada Police Department, 417-448-5100.
