Samuel E. Burk, Jr., 32, died on July 18, 2014 at his home in Kansas City, Kansas. He was born April 13, 1982 at Bonner Fairy, to Samuel E. Burk, Sr. and Arlene L. “Cricket” Fairbairn.
In his young life he traveled a bumpy road, and yet he survived those many struggles and made the best of what God gave him. He had the very biggest of hearts! He always had a hug and smile for family. You will always find the best of Bud in his kids; they were his pride and joy.
He worked odd jobs over the years and finally found one he had a passion for, iron work. He made it in the Kansas City Iron Workers Union this past year and one it was one of his happiest days. He loved walking the purlins out and the rush of being up high above everything, one wrong move was life or death. He loved that about this part of the job and had a passion for iron work.
Survivors include his children Lily, Alyana and Gavin; his parents Sam and Aurelia Burk, Las Vegas, Nev., and Cricket and Joe Pickle, Kansas City, Kansas; siblings Tonya L. Peek, Columbus, Mont.; Billie Joe Pickle, Kansas City, Kansas; Estela Coite, Bolingbrook, Illinois; Efren Mendoza, Reno, Nev.; Carmela Fredrick, Spring Creek, Nev.; Jose Mendoza, Las Vegas, Nev.; many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and numerous family members who will love and miss him.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 26 at the First Baptist Church in Heron. Arrangements are by Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Libby. Online memories and condolences may be shared at www.schnackenbergfh.com.
