On Dec. 24, Zachariah Bishop, 31, Montrose, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant for failing to appear in court on a class C felony charge of possessing a controlled substance.
The warrant was issued on Dec. 5. The charge stems from an incident on Sept. 24 when a St. Clair County deputy was dispatched to Concord Street, Appleton City, in reference to a violation of an ex-parte.
During the investigation, Bishop was taken into custody. A search of his person located a bag that contained a white powdery substance that tested positive for methamphetamine. Bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety.
Bishop was also arrested on a Henry County probation and parole warrant on three class C felony charges, domestic assault - second degree, unlawful possession of a firearm, and tampering with a victim/witness or attempt tampering w/victim in a felony prosecution.
The warrant was issued on Nov. 25 and stems from an incident in February 2013. Bond on these charges is set at $5,000 cash only.
