The Missouri Public Service Commission will hold a hearing Monday evening in Butler on a rate increase request filed earlier this year by Liberty Utilities (Midstates Natural Gas) Corporation. The company's request was filed February 6, seeking approval to raise customer rates by about $12.35-a-month in Western Missouri, $9.05-a-month in Northeast Missouri and $6.40-a-month in Southeast Missouri.
Monday's hearing starts with a question-and-answer session by the PSC staff at 6:00 p.m. in Robertson Hall at the Bates County Museum, 802 Elks Drive, with the taking of sworn testimony to follow.
