Ellett Memorial Hospital and A. C. Rural Health Clinic are sponsoring a “Fit & Fun Community Block Party” Saturday, August 24 from 9:00 – 1:00. The day will start out with a 5K walk at 8:00 a.m. (Registration is at 7:30 a.m. at the Hospital.) The Auxiliary will hold a Bake Sale from, 8:30 – noon. Free health screenings include: peak flows, bruit screenings, carpel tunnel screening, balance testing, advanced directives with notary, blood sugar finger sticks, blood pressure and pulse oximetry. For additional fees, blood work testing will also available. There will be demonstrations and information from Life Flight Eagle, drug demonstration, Fire Department, Missouri Conservation, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, home health, hospice, Nursing Home, On My Own, special needs children, P.A.C.E./arthritis, OP clinics, outreach clinics, radiology, respiratory therapy, Healthcare USA, WCMCAA, ADT, SCH Outpatient Services, CPR demonstration and car seat safety. In addition, there will be a bouncy house, face painting, kids games free hot dogs and popcorn. Everyone is invited to the Hospital to enjoy the Block Party activities.
