Pittsburg, KS - On Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at 2:10 pm, first responders from the Pittsburg Police Department, Pittsburg Fire Department and Crawford County EMS responded to Vinylplex, 1800 E. Atkinson in reference to an industrial accident.
A male employee was located suffering from injuries sustained from contact with a piece of equipment. He was transported by ambulance to Via Christi, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival at the emergency room.
The victim of the accident at Vinylplex, which occurred on Tuesday, September 23, 2014, has been identified as 51-year-old Harley Burch, Jr. of Pittsburg.
The victim was taken to Topeka, Kansas for autopsy and the investigation into the incident continues.
