Drexel boil order still in effect

Personnel at City Hall in Drexel stated this morning that the boil order will remain in effect until further notice. Amid much confusion regarding this matter, residents should continue to boil all water used for human use and consumption at this time. Bates County Live will continue to monitor this situation and provide more information as it becomes available.

Residents may check with Missouri Department of Natural Resources website for further information on the atrazine levels and the status of the drinking water. Click here for the report.

Drexel still on boil order

High atrazine levels prompted officials to instigate a boil order for residents of Drexel over the last week. However, repairs in progress indicate the boil order may be lifted within the next 24 hours. Bates County News Wire will post as soon as we get word the order has been lifted.
