Around 10:40am this morning Missouri State Highway Patrol along with Bates County EMS and Butler Fire Department responded to a 1 vehicle accident on 52 East Highway around County Road 3505. The accident occured when the 2004 GMC driven by Daylon Turner 26, of Appleton City was traveling Westbound in Highway 52 and travelled off the left side of the roadway and struck a embankment. The driver recieved moderate injuries and was transported by ambulance to Bates County Memorial Hospital. The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene by Dons Tow of Butler.
