2 Vernon County Motorcycle Crashes over the weekend
- A Walker man was taken to a hospital in Joplin after a motorcycle mishap Saturday afternoon in Cedar County. Missouri Highway Patrol trooper Quinton Bland says it happened about 4:00 p.m. on Cedar County route CC -- eight miles West of Stockton -- when the Triumph motorcycle driven by 60-year-old Thomas A. Barnes slid on some gravel in a curve, veered off the road and overturned, ejecting the driver. Barnes was taken to Freeman-West Hospital for treatment of a moderate injury.
- A Nevada man was hurt Friday evening in a motorcycle mishap on I-49, half-a-mile South of Nevada. Missouri Highway Patrol trooper Justin Lemasters says it happened about eight o'clock when the North-bound Harley-Davidson, driven by 25-year-old James S. Krohn, ran off the right side of the road and overturned, ejecting Krohn. The trooper's report listed Krohn's injury as minor.
