A much more active weather pattern is expected through early next week. Non-severe showers and thunderstorms are likely this morning across eastern Kansas and western Missouri. The focus then shifts to the Saturday through Monday period of time when multiple rounds of severe weather are expected. After a quiet Friday, storms are expected to develop Saturday night and then again Sunday and Monday. The Sunday and Monday time frame has the greatest potential to bring severe thunderstorms into the region. Definitely be weather aware later this weekend and keep track of the latest forecasts as the weekend progresses.
