On April 17, 2014, the Bates County Memorial Hospital honored its Auxiliary and Chaplain Staff with an appreciation banquet. Volunteers received beautiful flower baskets. Mr. Ed Hannon, Chief Executive Officer, presented the volunteers with certificates and pins in recognition of the hours of voluntary service they have given to the Hospital. The Auxiliary volunteered a total of 8640 hours to the hospital. The Auxiliary purchased items for various hospital departments totaling $7391.62.

Mr. Hannon announced the Auxiliary had chosen Missie Good as the 2013 Volunteer of the Year. Missie received a mantel clock for this deserved recognition. Missie began her volunteer service at the hospital in September, 2003. For almost 11 years, Missie has graciously given of her time each week to work in the Gift Shop and Information Desk, as well as helping with fundraisers. Missie serves on the Auxiliary’s Scholarship Committee for which she has been a member for several years.
