Butler Lady Bears Track Results

Monday night the Butler track team traveled up to Midway to run in another cold, windy track meet. This meet was an all relays meet and the athletes really enjoy being able to mix things up and getting the chance to do something different. Even though the weather was miserable it was definitely a fun meet to watch! 

The girls had a lot of fun changing some things up and worked very well together earning a 2^nd place finish out of 13 Teams.

Here are the top 6 place finishers who helped earn points for the team and contributed to the 2^nd place finish:

4x100m Relay: Courtney Blevins, Makenna Hannah, Amy Miller, Kiersten Morris- 4^th place
4x200m Relay: Kiersten Morris, Makenna Hannah, Amy Miller, Mady Gepford- 2^nd place
Sprint Medley: 100 Courtney Blevins, 100 Jenna Simms, 200 Aarika Gardner, 400 Mady Gepford- 1^st place with a time of 2:05.15
4x400m Relay: Jenna Simms, Makenna Hannah, Aarika Gardner, Peyton McGuire- 5^th place
Pole Vault: Aarika Gardner- 3^rd place
Discus: Jolynn Ross, Jenna Simms, Courtney Blevins- 6^th place
High Jump: Amy Miller, Aarika Gardner, Mady Gepford- 2^nd place
Triple Jump: Amy Miller, Peyton McGuire, Kiersten Morris- 1^st place with a combined jump of 90’6.5”
Long Jump: Peyton McGuire, Mady Gepford, Makenna Hannah- 1^st place with a combined jump of 39’8”


The Butler Track Team will travel to Holden on Friday. We are gearing up for the final weeks of the season, next Monday is our Conference meet and districts are next Saturday. Wish these kids good luck as they finish up their school year and track season.
