Bates County Sheriffs Office: Short Press Release About Barricaded Man In Butler

BCSO and Butler Police on scene of Days Inn Hotel where barricaded man held up several hours this evening

On 4/26 the Bates County Sheriff Office assisted Butler Police in a pursuit that ended behind a local hotel. The suspect ran from the vehicle and jumped through a hotel window. The suspect then barricaded himself in a different room. The hotel was evacuated and a slow and methodical search was conducted room by room. The suspect was located in a closet and was taken into custody. Initially it was believed there was a second suspect. Officers conducted interviews with eyewitnesses and video recordings from the business and determined that there was only one suspect. The tactical operation was terminated and the scene was returned to normal traffic. Bates County Live will update this story when the official press release is released.
