Graveside funeral services for Eeland Spears will be 2:00 PM Monday, August 25, 2014 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Butler, Missouri with Allan Bopp officiating. Visitation prior to services from 1:00 PM until departure for cemetery at Mullinax Funeral Home in Butler (660-679-0009). Contributions are suggested to the Butler Senior Center. Eeland Galena (Jones) Spears, 97 of Butler, Missouri passed away August 21, 2014 at Bates County Memorial Hospital in Butler. Eeland was born June 8, 1917 in Johnstown, Missouri, daughter of Thomas and Blanche (Barnett) Jones.
Eeland was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Elwin Spears; one son, R. Carter Spears; as well as one brother and one sister. She is survived by a son, Emil Spears and wife Judy of Blue Springs, Missouri; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law Dora Spears Carroll and husband Thomas of Appleton City, Missouri; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
