Evelyn Hoover, age 50, Mound City, Kansas passed away Monday February 25, 2013. She was born at Amoret, Missouri the daughter of Marion and Evelyn White Wisdom. She graduated from Miami High School and attended Cosmetology School at Fort Scott Community College . She married Larry Hoover on December 1, 1990 in the Linn County Courthouse Gazebo in Mound City. Evelyn was blessed with many talents. She was a talented artist, musician and singer. She loved walking on the beach, going to the casino, attending auctions and shopping at garage sales. She was preceded in death by her father, Marion, and three brothers: Rusty, Leroy and Butch. She is survived by her husband Larry, mother, Evelyn Purdy and Harry, son, Josh Morlan, grandson, Eli Love, three brothers: Joker, Peewee and Duane Wisdom, and two sisters, Irene Hicks and Judy Gurley.
Funeral service will be 11 AM Friday March 1, 2013 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Mound City Chapel. Burial will be in the Woodland Cemetery, Mound City. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM Thursday at the Chapel. The family suggests contributions to the Evelyn Hoover Memorial Fund.
