A Vernon County resident was arrested early this morning after a lengthy pursuit that started on Austin Boulevard in Nevada. The truck ran from Sheriff's Deputies after they had attempted a traffic stop on the chevy pickup. The truck ran from deputies going into the county east of town. The driver eventually jumped from the truck and ran into a cornfield where he laid down trying to avoid deputies. Deputies surrounded the field and found the suspect a short time later. The name of the suspect has not been released pending the filing of formal charges of resisting/fleeing arrest, possession of methamphetamines as well as several traffic violations.
