Missing Children from Vernon County:

Haley Otter and Christopher Otter Jr

The Vernon County Sheriff’s Office is looking for two missing

 juveniles that may be with their mother Kelly Otter, a parole absconder. Investigators with the Sheriff’s Office believe Otter may have picked up her children, Christopher Otter Jr, and Haley Otter, from two undisclosed locations in the City of Nevada and in the County.  A bolo was sent to law enforcement state wide and to surrounding areas in an attempt to locate Otter and the Children. 

Investigators have information indicating the children went with their mother willingly. The Sheriff’s Office is working the case along with the Nevada Police Department and is asking for anyone with information on the Children or Kelly Otter to contact Western Missouri 911 Dispatch Center at 417-667-6042.


** UPDATE**

The Vernon County Sheriff's Office deputies made entry into a home in Milo, Missouri and arrested Kelly Otter. Both juveniles ran from Sheriff deputies. Haley was found a short time later and is in custody. Deputies are still searching for Christopher who ran into some nearby woods. Bates County Live will update this when more information becomes available from the Vernon County Sheriff Jason Mosher.
