Weather Update: Season's First Snowfall This Weekend

As much as it pains me to post this message I figure I might as well get this over with. It's likely to snow this weekend. There I said it. The dreaded, at least for some, "S" word has been uttered in the office. The season's first measureable snow event is expected to arrive Saturday morning. While there remains uncertainty on exact amounts since the system hasn't even reached California there are enough signals that we feel fairly confident in releasing our first snowfall graphic.

We think most areas have a good chance of picking up an inch of snow with slightly heavier amounts falling south of the Missouri River where 2 with up to 3 inches are expected. The snow will be light as it'll be spread out over a 9 to 15 hour period and possibly come in two waves. There WILL be adjustments to this forecast as the system gets closer so come on back to our page for later updates.

So, will the kids be breaking out their sleds on Saturday? Geesh, and it's only mid November.
