Unsettled weather will persist through the weekend and into next week. The culprit? A cutoff storm system over the southwest is allowing moisture to stream northward into the area which is interacting with a weak frontal boundary draped across Missouri and Kansas. This setup will keep chances for thunderstorms in the forecast into next week. The good news is we need the rain and the threat of severe weather with any of this activity looks low at this time.
