Funeral services for David Duane Wadel of Hume, Missouri will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 21, 2012 at the Bethany Mennonite Church in Rich Hill, Missouri with Myron Koehn, Gary Schmidt and Kenneth Koehn officiating. Visitation 6:30 - 8 p.m. Thursday, September 20 at the Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel (660-679-6555)in Butler, Missouri. Burial, Bethany Mennonite Church, Rich Hill. Contributions to the Granddaughters' Scholarship Fund.
David "Dave" Duane Wadel, age 55 of Hume, Missouri died Monday, September 17, 2012 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. He was born January 6, 1957 to Lester D. and Viola Evelyn Becker Wadel in Bates County, Missouri.
David is survived by his wife, Sue Wadel of Hume, Missouri; two sons, Christopher Wadel and Andrew Wadel both of Foster, Missouri; one daughter, Stephanie Johnson and husband Will of Hill Rose, Colorado; three brothers, William Wadel and wife Bertha of Farmington, Kentucky, Walter Wadel and wife Marilyn of Garden City, Kansas and Jim Wadel and wife Janet of Foster, Missouri; two sisters, Sharon Houston of Foster, Missouri and Linda McDaniel and husband Joe of Rich Hill, Missouri; three grandchildren, Asia Pearl Marie, Katelynn Viola and Meadow Reine. He was preceded in death by his parents.
