Butler Elementary Students participate in “ Jump Rope for Hearts”



Butler Elementary School surpassed their goal and raised over $9000.00  for the American Heart Association. Grades  Kindergarten through 6th grade students of the Butler Elementary School hit the streets for pledges to raise funds for the Heart Association, as they participated in the statewide “ Jump Rope for Hearts” program.
The Students set their goal for $ 5000.00, students were awarded for their endeavors Friday afternoon at an awards assembly…. Butler Elementary received honorable mention as one of the top 3 schools out of the 200 that participated  in the State of Missouri to participate and raise money for the foundation.
The foundation gave mention that Butler students and teachers put their heart and soul into this presentation and gave honorable mention to Coach Allen for his creative ideas !
The 1st grade students of Butler Elementary were recognized for raising the most money. Dayton Kisner raised approximately $900.00 alone, with Ty Johnson coming in second. The Butler Elementary will recognize Dayton by naming the Elementary Gym in his honor, for a period of  one year.  
Congratulations  to the students of the Butler Elementary School for participation in the American Heart Association’s “ Jump Rope for Hearts” Fund Raising competition..
