(SEDALIA, Mo.) – Four concerts were announced by Missouri State Fair Director Mark Wolfe, completing the series of eight concerts for this year’s State Fair, to be held Aug. 8-18 in Sedalia. Added to the line-up will be the concerts Foreigner and Starship featuring Mickey Thomas Aug. 9, Chubby Checker Aug. 13, Lee Brice and Tyler Farr Aug.15, and rockers Three Days Grace and Hinder Aug. 17. Tickets will be available June 17 through Ticketmaster.com.
“The addition of these four concerts will provide a diverse mix of music for concert goers,” Wolfe said. The initial four concerts, which went on sale in March, included Chris Cagle and Will Hoge Aug. 8, Gary Allan and Randy Houser Aug. 10, The Oak Ridge Boys Aug. 14, and Toby Keith presented by Ford F-Series and Kelsey K Aug. 16.
“Offering a strong line-up of country acts is important to the Fair’s large agricultural public,” Wolfe said. “I feel confident that this year’s country concerts will hit the mark, along with the acts booked in the genre of classic and hard rock.”
The popular rockers Three Days Grace and Hinder will be filling the Pepsi Grandstand slot on the final Saturday of the Fair. Three Days Grace is a Canadian rock/alternative metal band that got its start in the 1990s, and has since celebrated many accolades on the Billboard charts for singles and albums. Hinder is an American rock band from Oklahoma that was formed in 2001. The band was inducted into the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame in 2007.
