Hume News

Hume News:

    A Celebration of Life will be held for Gary “Pockets” Frye, Jr. on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. at the Hume City Park.  In case of rain it will be held in the Hume Legion Hall.  If you wish to attend a meal afterwards please bring a covered dish. 

   Lots of activities have been going on out at the Hume Lions Club Ball Park.  A new score board donated by Max Motors was recently installed by Todd Madison, Jay Rogers and Mike Harris.  A new door made and installed by Jeff Davidson on the cook shack with the assistance of Bo Irwin.  If you see the guys tell them a big thank you for the wonderful changes in the ball park.  Summer ballgames have started, so come out and enjoy the summer evenings at the ball park.

    Jeffrey and Lane Irwin, Carrie Irwin, Michala and Marissa Lantsberger and Shelby Nall spent a week in Texas visiting with Braxton & Harriett Irwin and families. They spent time down in Galveston enjoying sightseeing and swimming.
     Hume Christian Church News:  Vacation Bible School will be held June 3 through the 7th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.  The theme is “God’s BIG BACKYARD” Where Kids have a blast serving Jesus!


      The Hume Fair Association is still looking for Rodeo Queen Candidates and Prince and Princess Candidates for the 2013 Hume Fair.  Just let any fair board member know if you are interested.  Also if you would like to include your children/grandchildren in the future leaders of the fair paper, please send a photo along with $10.00 to:  Hume Fair Assoc. P. O. Box 91, Hume, MO 64752.
