Former Missouri State Rep. from Butler Awarded

Jason Klumb
Air National Guard Lt. Col. Jason Klumb has been decorated with the Defense Meritorious Service Medal. The medal is awarded to individuals for non-combat meritorious achievement or service that is incontestably exceptional and of a magnitude that clearly places them above their peers.

Recipients are assigned to or have served with numerous joint activities in the Department of Defense, joint chiefs of staff, joint, specified and allied commands, military agencies, and other joint activities as designated by the secretary of defense.


Klumb serves as the Staff Judge Advocate for the 131st Bomb Wing, Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo., the only Air National Guard unit to fly and maintain the B-2 Spirit bomber.
Klumb is the son of Marli   Klumb and Hank   Klumb, both of Butler, Mo.


He is the brother of Steve Klumb of Finlayson, Minn., nephew of Gerry Klumb of Jourdanton, Texas, and cousin of Phil Schatz of New York, N.Y.


Klumb is a 1986 graduate of Butler High School, Butler, Mo., and earned a bachelor's degree in 1990 from William Jewell College, Liberty, Mo
