She preceded him in death on October 16, 2005. In earlier years, Grover worked for the railroad and then performed sanitation work in Kansas City. Later, he returned to Ft. Scott and was employed by Tower Metal for many years. He enjoyed wood carving, gardening and fishing as well as spending time with his family and his dogs.
Survivors include two sons, Billy Jean Durossette and wife, Sheila, Frank Durossette and wife, Mary, and two daughters, Bonita Sue Jones and husband, Ronald and Carolyn Lotterer, all of Ft. Scott. Also surviving are thirteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren and thirteen great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sixteen brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, July 2nd at the Cheney Witt Chapel. Burial will follow in the Memory Gardens Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Friday at the Cheney Witt Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association and may be left in care of the Cheney Witt Chapel, 201 S. Main, P.O. Box 347, Ft. Scott, KS 66701.
