The Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade isn't the only group celebrating 90 years - Butler has been proud to have a local library for 90 years, as well.
Founded in 1926 by a private group of women, the library was initially housed in the Bates County Courthouse. It moved to the current location due to generous endowments by local citizens, then was given a great addition from the Robert and Virginia Heinlein Foundation in 1991.
We are thankful to serve the area!
