Obituary - Harold Dean Brewer

Harold Dean Brewer, 87, formerly of Metz, MO, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2016 at Barone Alzheimer’s Care Center in Nevada following a brief illness. Harold was born on August 3, 1929 in Deerfield, MO the only child of Roy L. Brewer and Iva (Hyder) Brewer. He married June Ann Handly on December 21, 1951 in Harrison, AR and she preceded him in death on August 24, 2014.

Harold was raised in the Metz, MO area and graduated from Metz High School Class of . He served two years in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. In 1952 he came home to Vernon County to farm and raise livestock. He was a member of the Horton Methodist Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Teresa Ann Brewer, Nevada; several nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Rosalie Handly.

Graveside services with Military Honors will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 in Balltown Cemetery, Horton, MO, with Lawrence Cripps officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.
