One person was injured in a one-vehicle accident on March 23 in Henry County on Highway 7 around six-tenths of a mile south of County Road SE 571.
Dakota S. Stoecklein, 19, Clinton, wearing a seat belt, southbound in a 1997 Ford F-150, swerved to avoid a deer. The vehicle skidded and crossed the center line.
Subsequently, the driver overcorrected, causing the vehicle to travel off the left side of the roadway into a grass embankment, where it overturned several times and came to a rest on its wheels.
Dakota S. Stoecklein experienced minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene. The vehicle was totaled and removed from the scene by Golden Valley Wrecker.
Missouri Highway Patrol Trooper M.G. Yendes investigated the accident and was assisted by Trooper B.M. Parker.
