According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Ashley Martin, 21, was traveling Eastbound on P Highway at Roush Road in rural Cass County when she overcorrected causing her 2008 Pontiac G6 to run off the side of the road.
The vehicle overturned, then struck a fence and subsequently rolled into a pond and ejecting Martin from the vehicle.
Martin, who was the only occupant in the car wasn't wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead on the scene by Pleasant Hill paramedics at 6:42am.
The vehicle was totaled and removed from the scene by Johnson’s Tow. Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers were assisted by Cass County Sheriff’s Office deputies.
