CLINTON POLICE ARREST SUSPECT FOR ALLEGED DOMESTIC ASSAULT IN THE 1ST DEGREE

On Tuesday, March 25, Clinton Police were contacted by a person who stated that they had been the victim of an assault during which they were systematically beaten over the course of four days. It was observed that the victim had multiple contusions, lacerations and bruises covering a great portion of their body, and a possible broken hand. The victim was provided medical treatment and was interviewed by detectives. 

The suspect, 33 year old Wesley Coskey of Clinton, was placed under arrest for 24 hour investigation of a felony charge of Domestic Assault in the 1st Degree. Coskey admitted to assaulting the victim and was transported to the Henry County Detention Center. He was released after posting a $25,000 bond. A warrant was then issued from the office of Henry County Prosecutor Richard Shields formally charging Coskey
