On May 14, Steven Patrick, 57, ElDorado Springs, was arrested by St. Clair County deputies after an investigation of felony child abuse that allegedly occurred at a residence in the southwest area of the county on May 12. The investigation revealed Patrick allegedly struck a 15-year-old juvenile in the face several times.
On May 15, two complaints were filed with the court by St. Clair County Prosecuting Attorney Joleene Simmons in reference to this incident and another incident that allegedly occurred in August 2013. Arrest warrants were issued and served charging Patrick with two class C felonies of abuse or neglect of a child. Bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety in each case.
