When you're outdoors today and tomorrow if you listen closely you may be able to hear the Beach Boys music playing in the wind. That and the smell of coconut suntan lotion. Yep, it'll feel like summer both days with afternoon temperatures well into the 80s, maybe even a few 90 degree readings. And tomorrow will even have summertime humidity. Que up the music!
While we're at it felt we could give... you a heads up on the potential for strong to severe storms on Thursday(see the second image below). We'll likely have some storms rolling through when the sun comes up Thursday morning. While there is a small risk these could be severe, the greater risk will be in the afternoon and evening hours. The shaded area on the map represents the potential for "significant severe" storms. Significant severe = 2 inch or larger diameter hail, winds 74 mph or higher and tornadoes EF2 intensity or greater. We believe large hail and damaging winds will be the primary threats with a very small chance for any tornadoes in northern and west central MO and extreme eastern KS.
