October is winding down with Halloween parties going full strong. Several were held this past weekend, including Cub Scout Pak 4012 on Friday evening at the Legion Hall. Angie Wepener did a great job in organizing the party. The kids had a great time.

The Hume Elementary School Halloween Party will be on Friday, October 31 and the Annual Halloween parade will be in the gym at 2:15 p.m.

Hume United Methodist Church News: On Saturday, October 25 we held a Saturday morning VBS. The kids were great and learned about feeding the hungry, making soup bags for their craft to take home and share with their family, singing praises, playing and of course enjoying lunch. A big thanks to all those who helped! On Saturday afternoon some of the men met and split wood for the up and coming Annual Lord’s Acre Day BBQ and Auction. The BBQ lunch starts at 11:00 a.m. with the auction to start at 1:00 p.m. This year there will be live music and a bounce house for the kids to enjoy.

A hot dog roast and hayride will be held on Sunday November 9 after services. Lunch will be from approximately 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. with the hayride to follow. All are invited to attend.
