Thomas “Gary” Young, 67 of Peculiar, Missouri passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at Crown Care in Harrisonville, Missouri. Gary was born December 11, 1946 in Los Angeles, California, son of Marion T. and Velma E. (Davis) Young.
Gary was loved by many, and a friend to all. He was a successful business owner for many years, and was a Realtor at his retirement. Gary was a dedicated family man, and was a proud papa and granddad who survived raising five children and seven grandchildren. Gary is loved and will be missed.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter-in-law, Kimberly George. He is survived by his children, Karie Rogers of Peculiar; Michael Young (Christy) of Harrisonville; Mark Young of Peculiar; Jamie Garrison (Doug) of Peculiar; Matthew Young of Peculiar; grandchildren Trevor, Shelby, Preston, Codie, Madison, Chloe, and Mason; and one sister, Patricia Smith (Ralph) of Amsterdam, Missouri; as well as former spouse, Ellen Holmes (Rick).
