Funeral services for Hazel Dickerson will be 11 a.m. Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel (660-679-6555) in Butler, Missouri with Rev. Sandy Schaller officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Schowengerdt Chapel. Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, Butler, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Ohio Street United Methodist Church.
Rilla Hazel Dickerson, age 91 of Butler, Missouri died Monday, October 20, 2014 at Bates County Memorial Hospital in Butler. She was born October 29, 1922 to Jesse and Maud Edith VanSant Grimes in Ballard, Missouri.
Hazel is survived by one son, Paul Dickerson of Springfield, Missouri; one daughter, Donna Mehrle of Jefferson City, Missouri; one brother, Don Grimes and wife Norma Jean of Archie, Missouri; three grandchildren, Jesse Dickerson, Andrew Mehrle and Samantha Locke; one great-granddaughter, Mariah; and one great-grandchild due in April 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Don; and one son, Dennis.
