On Oct. 24, Chris Treat, 43, Clinton, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with a class C felony of tampering with service of utility or institution in the first degree. The charge stems from an incident on Sept. 4 when a St. Clair County deputy took a report from a representative from Sac Osage Electric Cooperative in reference to property damage at Twin Oaks Harbor, Lowry City.  

The representative stated they were out earlier the same day to hook up a service and noticed the tag on the meter box was missing. When the box was opened, it was noticed the meter lugs were burned out and melted to the base. Treat was released on an own recognizance bond pending further court proceedings on Nov. 21.
