On Oct. 3, DJ Gideon, 23, Republic, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with a class C felony of stealing a motor vehicle. The charge stems from an investigation regarding a 1991 Chevrolet Blazer that was sold by Courtney Dixon and David McCollum, Shell City. Gideon allegedly purchased the vehicle and paid with a fraudulent check.
