Weekly Butler Police Department report

10/12/2010 

Officers make a vehicle stop at West St. and 52 highway for driving with no headlights. Further investigation reveals  that the driver is suspended and has been drinking. The driver is charged with DWI and driving while suspended.


Officers respond the the 500 block of North Water to take a theft report.

Officers respond to Prospect and Mill and take a theft report.

Officers receive information from Miami, Oklahoma police that a runaway juvenile might be in Butler. With assistance from the Bates County Sheriff's Office, the juvenile is located and turned over the the juvenile office.

Officers check a vehicle at the cemetery and find an 18 year old male subject passed out in the back seat. Upon further investigation, officers locate marijuana and another male subject.  Both are charged with Minor in Possession and possession of marijuana.

10/13/2010

Officers make a vehicle stop at Pine St. by the cemetery. The driver is charged with an open container.

10/14/2010

Officers respond to Wal-Mart on a shoplifting call. One male subject is taken into custody.

10/15/2010

Officers respond to the 700 block of North Delaware street on a subject trapped under a tractor. Officers assist in freeing the male subject.

10/16/2010

Officers make a vehicle stop on Harrison St. During the investigation, officers locate drug paraphernalia. The driver is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Officers make a vehicle stop in the 300 block of North Fulton. The driver is charged with driving while revoked. 

10/17/2010

Officers respond to the 600 block of West Adams on a domestic. One male subject is taken into custody.

Officers respond the the 300 block of East Pleasant on a disturbance. Officers assist in getting a male subject transported for medical care.

Officers take a theft report in the 800 block of South Birch.
