Adrian teen receives minor injuries on 71 Highway this afternoon

Missy S. Perkins, 16, of Adrian was treated for minor injuries this afternoon following an accident on 71 Highway, just South of Adrian. The southbound 1989 Suburban driven by Perkins struck an unoccupied Mazda pickup that was parked on the shoulder of the highway causing extensive damage to both vehicles.

Perkins was transported to Bates County Memorial Hospital for treatment. The Missouri Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Adrian Fire Department and the Bates County Sheriff's Department.
