Area accidents send three to hospital

Friday morning around 8 a.m. two Drexel women were injured in a single car accident on A Highway about three miles West of Archie. An Eastbound 2000 Pontiac driven by Ashley Davis, 22, traveled off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected, returned to the right side of the roadway into a ditch and struck a culvert. Davis and a passenger, Mallory Mager, 19, were transported to Research Hospital in Kansas City with moderate injuries.

Last night around 10:20 p.m. two Rockville residents received minor injuries in an accident at the intersection of CR 230 and CR 1501 when the 1998 Isuzu driven by Thomas L. Evans, 54, of Rockville traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree. Passenger Sheila A. Prater, 43, also of Rockville was transported to Ellett Memorial Hospital in Appleton City for treatment.

Vehicles in both accidents were a total loss.
