DUE TO CONSTRUCTION DELAYS THE CLOSING OF THE BATES COUNTY ROUTE H/SOUTH DEEPWATER CREEK BRIDGE HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 1
Bates County -- The closing of Route H at South Deepwater Creek east of Butler has now been set for Wednesday, August 1, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
Route H will remain closed at the South Deepwater Creek bridge until late September.
The old bridge is being replaced as part of MoDOT's Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program.
Weather and/or construction delays could alter the dates the road is closed and reopened.
The bridge was originally scheduled to close in early July. However, MoDOT requested the contractor doing the bridge project delay the closing on Route H until other Safe & Sound bridges in the area could be completed.
