Fire destroys second Amoret home today

The city of Amoret has been stricken with two residential fires- one early this morning and the other this evening- both resulting in a total loss for the homeowners.

Around 4 a.m. today, local fire departments were summoned to the Krista Bradley residence to find the occupants had escaped safely but the structure heavily involved in fire.

Amoret and Amsterdam fire departments were called this evening to the Trinkle home on south Broadway street on a report of heavy smoke coming from the structure. Despite efforts to gain control of the fire, which included requesting backup from other local departments, it also is being called a total loss.

It is unclear if the Trinkle residence was occupied when the fire broke out and no injuries have been reported.

The exact cause of both fires is yet to be determined.
